The Panel Van and Crew Bus are available in two derivatives, 1.9 TDI 77 kW and 2.5 TDI 128 kW. Both these vehicles are economical for their size - the 1.9 TDI using a mere 6.1 l/100 km. And if you’re after the kind of power that will carry your heaviest load, look no further than the 2.5 TDI which accelerates from 0 - 100 km/h in just 9.6 seconds, and has the potential to reach a top speed of 188 km/h. This performance is dependant on load and driving conditions.
The Transporter Single and Double Cab are both available in four derivatives, 1.9 TDI 77 kW, 2.5 TDI 96 kW, 2.5 TDI 128 kW and the powerful 3.2 V6 173 kW petrol engine.

Design
No matter what cargo you’re carrying, we know it’s always valuable. That’s why we use the most stable structural design on all Transporters to ensure exceptional body rigidity. The Single and Double Cab load area has drop sides which makes loading and unloading remarkably easy. In fact, the ergonomically-designed load area is completely flat and lies at hip height, making the Cab extremely user-friendly.
Depending on the nature of your business and lifestyle, you can choose between a short or long wheelbase across the Transporter range (with the exception of the Double Cab). The Panel Van and Crew Bus 1.9 TDI long wheelbase carries a payload of up to 1035 kg with a load volume of 6.7 m³, while the short wheelbase version offers a generous payload of 1065 kg and a load volume of 5.8 m³.
